Close Collection

Close Collection is enabled only for Notebooks and only if your System Administrator has edited the business policy to allow this action. By default, the Close Collection action will not be displayed on your right-click menu. A collection (Notebook, Section, or Page) may be closed by selecting Collections > Close from the right-click menu. Once a collection has been closed, no resources may be added to it. A closed collection is shown with the closed icon Finalized in the Document Tree. Closing a collection finalizes all the resources it contains. A Notebook will also be closed if you right-click on the Notebook and select Edit > Finalize. A collection is also closed when it has been signed.

A closed collection may only be reopened and unfinalized by the system administrator if the business policy has been set to allow this action. When a closed collection is opened, its resources will become editable unless previously signed. Signed entries cannot be unfinalized.
