Print PDF to Word

Please note that this is an optional feature that may not be included with your install of CERF.

If you have this feature, you will see “Print to Word” in the right-click Print menu. Any document that can be printed to PDF in CERF can be printed to Word. CERF will use the PDF printed copy, if one exists, and convert the PDF to Word. If a PDF printed copy does not exist for the resource, CERF will first create a PDF and then use it for the conversion to Word.

Note that the converted Word document will not be added to CERF. If you wish to save it locally, use the File > Save As function within Word or OpenOffice and save the file locally. If you wish, you can then add the new document to CERF as you would any other new resource from your computer.

The install uses third-party software, but your CERF Administrator can use any PDF writer that is used in your organization. For example, you can use software like Adobe Acrobat or Nuance. The PDF to Word settings are configured in the Business Policies.
