CERF 6.0 Documentation
Go to CERF 5.3 Documentation
Notebook Viewer: In order to show a Notebook Page in the Notebook Viewer, the page must first be opened (loaded), by double-clicking on the page or clicking on the View button (depending on your preference settings for the double-click action).
File Viewer: Display files from within CERF for various recognized file formats. Select the File Viewer Icon, then select a recognized file type in the Document Tree, then click on the “Load selected resource from CERF tree” icon . Load a directory list Document tree by double-clicking on a File Cabinet or Folder.
Data and Forms: allows you to create an Experiment or Sample Resource for use during research.
Controlled Documents: a document that has been put under version control may be submitted to be “read and understood.” Selected workgroup members must sign off on the resource, indicating that they have read and understood the protocol.
Inbox – email: allows you to send messages with attachments from the email address that is associated with your CERF user account (generally, this would be your institution’s email) to CERF. You can open the attachment in CERF and add it to a File Cabinet or Notebook. This assumes that CERF email business policies have been correctly configured and that you have a valid email address associated with your user account.
Notifications: items for your attention (such as documents that require your digital signature, Notebook resources that have been printed to PDF, SOPs to be marked as signed, new annotations on resources, etc.)
Search: Click on the icon to open an inline Search form. You can enter terms for a full-text search and use Boolean operators to include other search parameters. Your results are shown here with right-click menu functionality.
