Notebook Viewer

CERF 6.0 Documentation

Go to CERF 5.3 Documentation

Click on the Notebook icon Notebook Viewer on the upper-right of the application to display the currently selected Notebook page or the hierarchic organization of a notebook section in the CERF Tree. If nothing is selected, you will see a blue “notebook cover.” When a Page is opened, the Entries and their associated resources are displayed both for viewing and editing. Notebook page load and display times will vary depending on the content of the page. Every file on the notebook page has to be transferred from the CERF server to your computer before the page will fully display.

NOTE: To keep notebook page load times as short as possible, try to limit the number of entries on a page to a maximum of about 20. If your entries are small, (eg simple text entries) then you can add more entries per page and the page should still load quickly. If you want to add very large data files as notebook entries, consider putting those on their own page, or put them in a file cabinet and use right click > edit > add relation to LINK smaller text files to large data files without actually adding the data onto a notebook page.

See Viewing Notebook Resources.
